DCF Church (Danescourt Christian Fellowship) is a local church and registered charity, situated in the north west of Cardiff.
We are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of those who share information with us. This privacy notice explains how we use any personal information you provide to us, or when you use our website. DCF Church is the data controller, deciding how the information collected is processed and for what purposes.
What Information Do We Collect?
We collect information that is connected to the life and running of the church. We receive this when you voluntarily provide information face to face, online, by text, through filling in a form or application, or over the telephone.
How Do We Use the Information We Collect?

Administer records of members and those involved in the clubs, activities and groups run by the church.
Provide a voluntary service for our church attendees and wider public community.
Promote the interests of the church (see ‘Promoting the Church’ below).
Manage and train our employees and volunteers.
Maintain our accounts and records.
Process gifts and gift aid applications, administered either directly or on our behalf by Stewardship Services (UKET) Limited.
Provide pastoral care to those who seek our help and assistance.

Promoting the Church
We would like to send you information about DCF Church and, if you specifically agree to us doing so, to write, telephone, email or text you about church news, events, activities or other aspects of church life that we think may be of interest to you.
If you agree to us contacting you in this way, you have a right to stop us from continuing to do so, at any time.
Who Sees the Information that You Provide To Us?
Your information is stored in hard copy form in a secure environment, or electronically on our password protected computers in the UK, which may be accessed only by our church elders and those volunteers approved by the church elders. Your personal data will only be shared with other church members for purposes connected with the church (for example, being on the cleaning rota, etc).
We believe in the power of prayer, and will want to pray for you in times of challenge. If you give permission, we may pass on your details to others in the church for prayer. An example of this would be where you are suffering ill health. Such communications are always made in a sensitive manner, at the discretion of a church elder, and we seek your specific prior permission through completing the Consent Form before sending out such prayer requests.
We do not share the information you provide with anyone outside the church. Exceptions to this are where:

If you arrange to give financially to the church in a tax efficient way, we may pass on your details to Stewardship Services (UKET) Limited, and AIMS Accountants.
At no time are your details passed on to third parties for marketing purposes.
How Long Do We Retain Your Information?
We retain your information during the period of our active relationship, and for a reasonable but limited period thereafter. This varies for different types of information – Please ask for any specific data which we hold. We will not keep your data longer than is necessary.
Access to Your Information and Correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us at the address below.
We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information that you think is inaccurate, or where it is no longer necessary for us to retain such information.
